Hello,

Help Children in South America

In a region marked by profound inequality, the Coronavirus pandemic has greatly affected millions of children in South America.

The region already faces several humanitarian crisis, characterized by poverty, armed conflict and natural disasters. For children who were struggling before the COVID-19 pandemic, things have only gotten worse, often much more so.

Before the coronavirus outbreak, Venezuela already had the highest inflation rate in the world, with chronic shortages of food and medicine. Now, children and women are suffering from a spike in physical, sexual or emotional violence at home. In Colombia, as schools and other protective services have closed, there has been a stark rise in the recruitment and use of children by armed groups, putting children in Colombia in grave danger.

»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵhas a long history of working in South America. We’re doing whatever it takes for children – on the front lines, in the world’s hardest-to-reach places, where it’s toughest to be a child. But we can’t do any of this lifesaving work without your support.
