Longtime Supporters Find a Way to Maximize Giving

Tim and Saffron Case were drawn to »ÆÉ«ÊÓƵfor a simple but profound reason. "We just really need to know that we have critically improved one life in the world," Tim says.

The owner of a successful company that produces commercials and music videos, Tim relies on his good instincts when making business decisions. So does Saffron, a prominent luxury-home real estate developer. The couple views their philanthropy through a shared lens.

"[With Save the Children] we trust that our money is in good hands;' Tim says. "We are confident that whatever we give will be maximized." The longtime supporters wanted to do even more. In conversation with their four children, who also value philanthropy, the couple decided to make a gift in their will. Rather than choose a specific amount, Tim and Saffron are leaving a percentage gift to Save the Children.

"We don't know what the future will bring," the couple says. "If it brings continued prosperity, then we want [our gift] to go up proportionally. If our wealth is reduced, then we would need the absolute number to be reduced proportionally."

Tim and Saffron know that many people share their desire to build a world where children are healthy, educated and safe. The first step, they say, is to connect with Save the Children. "Every touch point with »ÆÉ«ÊÓƵhas been A-plus;' Tim says.

He adds that as people start giving and seeing their own impact, it will feel natural to find additional ways to create better outcomes for children, including opportunities after one's lifetime.
