Why Volunteer with Save the Children?

If you are passionate about making a difference in the life of a child and are committed to giving all children the best chance for the future they deserve, then volunteering with »ÆÉ«ÊÓƵmay be the right place for you.

We are creating a new volunteer network of supporters across the United States who will take action on our behalf at events, as advocates, and in future activities and programs as we expand.

Please note: Due to volume, we are unable to contact each interested prospective volunteer. If selected for consideration, a member of our team will contact you to discuss available opportunities that may align with your background or skill set.

No. We don’t send volunteers to any of our programs overseas. If you reside outside of the United States, please check »ÆÉ«ÊÓƵInternational for volunteer opportunities in your country.Ìý

Do I have to be a certain age to volunteer?

Volunteers typically need to be 18 years of age or older, however, for certain short-term events, volunteers may be under 18 as long as they have signed consent from a parent or guardian.

How can I volunteer in an emergency or natural disaster?

Support for our response and recovery efforts following an emergency or natural disaster is typically done through corporate and humanitarian organization partners due to the extensive training and time requirements. If you are not part of one of these organizations and feel you are qualified to help, please tell us more about yourself  or learn more about our Get Ready. Get Safe. program.

How can I work directly with children?

Currently »ÆÉ«ÊÓƵhas limited opportunities working directly with children, and we are looking to expand that. Working with children requires extensive background checks and child safeguarding training, of which we take very seriously.
