FAIRFIELD, Conn. (Dec. 18, 2024) — As cold winter weather settles into eastern Tennessee, communities devastated by Hurricane Helene are struggling to rebuild. Actress and ��ɫ��ƵAmbassador Cobie Smulders is working with the global nonprofit and brand partners to deliver warm blankets, clothing, bedding, toys, and holiday treats this week to children and families still recovering from the storm’s destruction.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene’s flooding, many families in Tennessee’s Cocke and Greene Counties have lost their homes and vehicles – and children’s education has been disrupted due to school closures. Smulders was inspired to help children in these counties whose lives have been turned upside down due to the storm.

“Hurricane Helene was devastating for so many kids throughout Tennessee. I am so grateful for our brand partners that generously donated thousands of goodies and for our logistics and shipping partner Maersk who is transporting everything to Tennessee,” said Smulders. “��ɫ��Ƶand generous donors (KiwiCo, BabyList, Boll & Branch, HippyFeet, Baggallini, Thrive Causemetics, Baby2Baby, Carter’s, dōTERRA Healing Hands, Good360, Kroger, Starbucks Coffee Company, Ulta Beauty, Yankee Candle, Contigo and Rubbermaid) have come together to make the holiday season a bit brighter for sweet Tennessee kids hit hardest by the storm’s floodwaters. I want to thank them all for helping spread the holiday cheer to these children and their families.”

Partners are donating items to Cocke and Greene County families, including warm blankets, clothing and bedding, baby care kits, hygiene and cleaning supplies, kids’ educational activity kits, toys, storage totes, reusable water bottles, candles and tasty holiday treats. The supplies are being distributed by ��ɫ��Ƶat two family events this week – one this past weekend in Greene County and one later this week in Cocke County, with holiday activities and refreshments at each event.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, ��ɫ��Ƶhas been helping ensure essential, child-focused supplies are getting into the hands of children and families impacted by the storm in Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina – including diapers and baby wipes. The global humanitarian organization is also helping restore child care and early learning centers damaged by the storm and working with partners to provide long-term mental health supports for kids and families.
