Abhishek Agrawal

Abhishek Agrawal served as Managing Director and Global Head of Growth Equity at Vulcan Capital, founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. He led all growth equity investments for Vulcan Capital and drove the firm's private investments in the internet and technology sectors globally. He has led Vulcan's investments into marquee companies including Alibaba (NYSE: BABA), Flipkart (India), Grab (SEA), Intercom, Spotify (NYSE: SPOT), TraceLink, TrueCar (Nasdaq: TRUE), Uber (NYSE: UBER) and Zuora (NYSE: ZUO) among others.

Abhishek served as interim Chief Investment Officer of Vulcan Capital for multiple years and was responsible for overall asset allocation of Vulcan’s multibillion dollar investment portfolio, with oversight of investments in both public and private securities.

Prior to Vulcan Capital, Abhishek was at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm with $20+ billion in capital under management, where he drove investments in the internet and technology space. He has been closely involved in many of General Atlantic's internet and technology investments including AKQA (sold to WPP), Alibaba (NYSE: BABA), Dice Holdings (NYSE: DHX), Facebook (Nasdaq: FB), Klarna (Sweden), Network Solutions and Red Ventures. Previously, Abhishek was with Lazard Technology Partners, an internet and technology focused venture capital firm, and prior to that, in Lazard's technology, media and telecom investment banking group.

Abhishek serves on the Investment Advisory Board of Capricorn Investment Group and has served on the Board of Directors of TrueCar (Nasdaq: TRUE), Zuora (NYSE: ZUO), Bazaarvoice (Nasdaq: BV), Scytl, and Network Solutions (sold to Web.com).

Abhishek received his bachelor’s degree in economics with concentration in finance, summa cum laude, from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he ranked first in his class, and his MBA from Harvard Business School where he graduated with highest distinction and was a Baker Scholar.

Abhishek joined the Board in 2020 and serves on the Development and Finance Committees and the Investment Subcommittee.
